Full Job Description ACZ IT Manager

Overview

ACZ Laboratories, Inc. (http://acz.com) is an environmental testing laboratory located in the beautiful mountain town of Steamboat Springs, CO. The IT Manager is a salaried position. Benefits include: 401(k), profit sharing, medical insurance and more. The IT Manager position is a member of the executive team, responsible for business strategic planning, company vision, budgeting, and providing a positive example of leadership to all staff.

Expectations of ACZ IT Manager:

• Leads the development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department.
• Develops and maintains ACZ’s LIMS system.
• Devises and establishes IT policies and systems to support the implementation of set strategies. Continually evaluates IT operations regarding said strategies.
• Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
• Identifies and eliminates security risks.
• Creates and maintains data storage infrastructure and backup systems.
• Ensures that IT infrastructure performs efficiently and effectively.
• Provides leadership and support to everyone in the IT department.
• Establishes and maintains strong working relationships and regular communications with the organization’s executive team and staff.
• Works to increase and maintain user and team satisfaction with IT systems.
• Builds and maintains relationships with outside vendors.
• Contributes to the teams’ efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Continued information technology education and certifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field (graduate degree a plus)
• Minimum eight years’ experience working in IT operations.
• Minimum three years’ experience overseeing IT teams and projects.
• Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects.
• Solid working knowledge of all relevant coding languages and security protocols.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team oriented.
