
Human Resources Manager

ACZ Laboratories, Inc. (http://acz.com) is an environmental testing laboratory located in the beautiful mountain town of Steamboat Springs, CO. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee the key areas of recruitment, compliance, and performance management. This is a salaried position. Here’s what we’d expect from you in this people-focused role:
- Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Manage full lifecycle of hiring, from recruitment to employment to exit. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Assist company leaders in developing skills to manage employees more effectively through modeling, coaching, instruction, and training.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Ensure company policies, processes, and procedures are suitably constructed and administered to support compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Offer day-to-day employee relations support for all team members.
- Support payroll and benefits administration with third-party vendors.
- Facilitate collaborative problem-solving strategies for employee relations issues and employee conflicts.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in related area with a minimum of 3 years of HR experience. Relevant experience can be considered in lieu of education.
- SHRM or other HR certification preferred
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
